They aren't going g to refund you because your hardware is no longer compatible, same as all PC gaming companies ever, and they're not going to get a group of people together to make a new patch for a game the probably sell 5 copies a month of, as no pc gaming company would. They stopped supporting it after a couple years, as all PC game companies do. They made a product that for the most part works fine for most people as all PC game companies do. I'm defending them because they didn't do anything wrong. It sucks that they're having a problem, but it's completely unfair to claim the company is negligent or incompetent because a video game won't install properly for you, and it's silly to question whether it's legal. They're not even unreasonable problems to have with a game this many years after release. It's driven by one of the least challenging parts of Sims 3. She said, "EA is working very hard to fix this issue. So, I chat up tech support and after everything, they found it to be a problem with the game. I did a bit of googling, and this is the same situation for anyone who has tried to reinstall the game since at least 2013. The entire game is trashed - the launch window is mostly transparent, the latest update will not install, and I cannot play the game. Last year, I had a problem with TSM and had to reinstall the game.
